Maestro desks are available in two basic shapes, rectangular and ergonomic (L shaped). Standard Maestro desks and desk tops are constructed from 18mm MFC wood effect board suitably supported by a steel underbar on the front edge and the modesty panel on the back edge. This strenthens the 18mm desktop to prevent any dipping under heavy loads. Desk edgings are in 2mm rounded ABS so there are no sharp edges on the desktop itself. For customers who need to buy budget office furniture but prefer something that looks a little more expensive we recommend the Maestro25 range. As the name suggests Maestro 25 features 25mm worktops instead of the 18mm worktops on standard furniture. Maestro 25 desks usually work out at around 10% to 15% dearer than Maestro desks, but they appear a far superior quality and give a more positive impression.
Maestro and Maestro25 furniture ranges can be fitted in the same office. The main point to note is that Maestro25 desking products are only available in standard metric sizes (800mm deep and metric widths like 1200mm, 1400mm, 1600mm etc.) whereas Maestro desking comes in unusual depths and widths (746mm deep and widths such as 1228mm, 1532mm, 1778mm etc.) This size issue is only a problem if you intend to fit a Maestro 25 desk adjacent to an 18mm Maestro desks so just bear this in mind when ordering.

Maestro pedestals and Maestro filing cabinets are mostly pre-assembled.
